The Help Kiosk at the corner of Hauptstraße / Wideystraße is expanding its services: starting March 4, it will become the Health Kiosk Witten—a low-threshold point of contact for health advice, care counseling, and social support.
With this new service, a central location for free health information, personal guidance, and targeted referrals is being established in the heart of Witten—straightforward, confidential, and without appointments.
Who is the Health Kiosk for?
The Health Kiosk is open to everyone in Witten, regardless of:
- Age
- Background
- Health insurance status
- Language
It particularly benefits:
- Older adults
- People with chronic illnesses
- Individuals in need of care and their relatives
- Families in challenging life situations
- People with a migration background
- Individuals facing language barriers
Our goal is to reduce access barriers within the healthcare system and provide individual support where it is needed most.

Wednesdays: General Health Advice & Immediate Support
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
The Immediate Support Service of the St. Elisabeth Gruppe provides:
- General health advice
- Guidance within the healthcare system
- Assistance with referrals to further support services
- Counseling on acute health concerns
Thursdays: Care Counseling & Mother-Child Rehabilitation
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
The Caritasverband Witten offers rotating consultations on:
- Care-related questions and support services
- Relief services for family caregivers
- Information on mother-child rehabilitation programs
- Application procedures and social law matters

The Health Kiosk is a project of municipal health promotion and contributes to the sustainable strengthening of social and health equity in Witten.
Initiated within the framework of Gesunde Stadt Witten (GeWIT), the service is implemented in cooperation with strong regional partners:

Through close networking of existing services, support becomes accessible more quickly, duplicate structures are avoided, and individual solution pathways are enabled.
